Beret Vert Military MOTO GROUP , The group itself was formed in 1991 mainly by the efforts of a few Biker Brothers from the army, “Légion Etrangère” and since then has carved out a good reputation for itself going from strength to strength in it’s efforts for charity. It started slowly but the Beret vert Military MOTO GROUP has attracted members in 4 overseas countries and several European countries, anybody is eligible to join as long as you are friendly Ex Military or have Strong Military connections, and enjoy rides, we have regular rides all over Europe and especially in Portugal. We do not have a clubhouse as such for the moment, because we believe the money is better spent in helping our wounded brothers and families, Military Bikers from anywhere may join us just to be part of a family, which is the fraternity of bikers, and it can only be this way, we are totally independant and respect everybody, We are a very friendly, open, and approachable Military Moto Group – always welcoming new ideas and input from our Brothers.
We like to go to displays and local shows. In past years we have really enjoyed, the Moto Faro show and the Bulldog Bash in Staffordshire, and Free Wheels in France.
One of the main aims of the Military Moto Group since its beginning has been to support local Military charities and up until 2010 we held a run each Christmas, travelling to a local Military hospitals or hospice. Since then we have changed things slightly and have adopted a local charity called ‘www.oncoursefoundation.com, which helps wounded soldiers discover golf and possibly get the guys jobs on the many golf courses out there, and also provide support for their families.
As a Military Moto Group we have a reputation for being nice guys and go to as many biking events that we can.
The Military Moto Group has never changed it’s fun loving and brotherly ways over the years, but each member past and present has always had some input into the club, with the same ideal have fun.’ After all, that is what it is all about!
We hope to see you at a Ride or Event in the not too distant future.
